Elisabeth Kosmides (legal name: Elisabeth Hikmat Gozami), born 1997 in Vienna, is an Austrian visual and photographic artist. She lives and works in Vienna, Austria.

Her work is characterized by deeply existential themes, such as transgenereational trauma and impacts of cumulative stress, and reflects psychological and somatic boundary experiences.
Kosmides’ images often depict places and humans in complex emotional states. They are constantly permeated by darkness, while blur and movement introduce their characteristic sense of dynamism. Also, Kosmides avoids digital post-production and AI, and creates images through light, colour, atmosphere and real situations.

She works under her family’s original Greek surname, Kosmides, which was altered in official documents due to forced migration and displacement. By reclaiming it, she reconnects her practice to questions of origin, identity and healing.
